Sanitizers of various styles are used for maintaining a microorganism free environment for cheese making. New England Cheesemaking has made the BTF Iodophor Sanitizer which is is an odorless, tasteless iodine sanitizer that is safe to use on all cheesemaking equipment. This low-foaming, no-rinse concentrate requires only 1 tsp per 1.5 gallons, and 2 minutes of contact time, to be effective.
